Hari Om Parents!
This Sunday Oct 1st, Goddess Saraswati blessed our class room along with Lord Ganesha!
1. Saraswati Pooja :We started by introducing ourselves to Goddess Sarawati and admiring her beautiful white saari, lotus and vahana. Ofcourse, the indian guitar in her hand, the Veena, was also noticed. After knowing a bit about her graceful and glorious image, we did Pooja to her.
2. Songs: We learnt a new song: Saraswati Namastubhyam
We revised Mooshika Vahana song
saraswati namastubhyam varadé kāmarūpiṇi |
vidyārambham kariṣhyāmi, siddhirbhavatu mé sadā ||
3. Lesson: Different gods have different Vahanas.
We had show and tell of what the kids' favorite vehicles were.
We discussed the vahanas of Ganesha and Saraswati.
4. Activity: The kids made a bookmark with the Veena on it.
The kids took home a picture to color Saraswati with its Swan.
Annika and Aneesh became our own Radha and Krishna for the day!
Next week is picnic week! We hope to see you all there! It will be loads of fun!
