Jai Siya Ram!

Hari Om Parents!

On Nov 19th, Hanuman brought Rama and Lakshmana to our class on his shoulders to fill our kids with joy!

1.  Pooja : The kids now know what the steps are to do pooja. This is so important. Never will they go to a temple and feel lost or out of place. They will understand what the priest is doing.

2. Songs:  We learnt a new Rama song:
Rāma Rāma Rāma Rāma Rāma Nāma Tārakaṃ,
Rāma Kṛiṣhṇa Vāsudeva Bhakti Mukti Dāyakam.

               Jānakī Manoharaṃ Sarva-loka Nāyakaṃ,
               Śhaṅkarādi Sevya-māna Divya Nāma Kīrtanam.

We revised Single Tusked Ganapthi song ,Mooshika Vahana ,Aanjaneya Veera and Sri Rama Shloka.

3.  Lesson:  We revisited Ramayana and the close relationship between Rama and Hanuman.
Rama, Lakshmana and Sita went to forest.
                           Ravana takes Sita away.
Hanuman meets Rama and Lakshmana in disguise while they are looking for Sita     and takes them to Sugreeva. He takes them by carrying Rama and Lakshmana on his shoulders. ( Ask them to show you how!)
Then Hanuman found Sita and gave her Rama's ring.
Then Rama got Sita back by defeating Ravana.

Getting a Ramayana book with pictures and having them tell the story to you, to their siblings would be great. Right now they know the story well and you can kindle their interest further easily.

4. Activity: The kids made a wall hanging depicting the Ramayana story. Let them look at this on their wall. Let them take the lead in story telling and also asking questions.

Next class is on Dec 3rd. We look forward to having a lot of fun with all the kids!
